Here is the 2025 edition of the Family Skiing in Maine Ski Swap Guide. Swaps are a great way to save money on winter gear. You can read this Portland Press Herald article for some advice on buying used gear.

October - Maine Ski Swaps
11th - The Rack on the Sugarloaf access road in Carrabassett Valley will be holding their Tailgate Ski Swap & Sale from 8:00am - 1:00pm. Check out the Sugarloaf Homecoming Weekend Schedule and The Rack's Facebook Event Page FMI. On your way there stop by Happy Tunes as they usually have a consignment sale going on during Sugarloaf Homecoming Weekend.
18th - The Penobscot Valley Ski Club ski sale is Saturday, October 18th at the Bangor Parks and Recreation Building. See their website FMI.
24th - 25th - The 45th Annual Bethel Outing Club Ski & Snowboard Sale will be held October 24-25 at the Gould Academy Fieldhouse. Check out their website FMI
25th - Allspeed Cyclery and Snow will have a swap and sale on October 25th at their Portland location starting at 10:00am. Check out the Facebook event page FMI.
November - Maine Ski Swaps
2nd - We have confirmed that the Freeport Ski Booster swap will be held Sunday, November 2nd from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Freeport High School on Holbrook Street. Consignment check-in on Saturday 9-1. Sport Thoma, Akers Ski and Allspeed will be on-site selling gear as well. Keep an eye on the Freeport Boosters website FMI.
2nd - The 58th annual Brunswick Parks and Recreation Ski and Skate Sale will be held Sunday, November 3rd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Recreation Center located at 220 Neptune Drive in Brunswick. More information about the sale can be found on their website.
8th - Quarry Road Trails in Waterville is having a Ski and Skate Swap on November 8 from 9:00am - 2:00pm at the trail center at 300 Quarry Road. Check out the website event page FMI.
9th - The Auburn Ski Association Ski Swap will be held on Sunday, November 10 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at Lost Valley ski area in Auburn. See their website for more details.
15th - The Yarmouth Ski Club will host their annual ski swap on Saturday, November 15 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Rowe School on 52 School Street. Carter's XC Ski and Roger's Ski and Sport will be there selling new gear as well. See their website FMI.
29th - The Down East Ski Club is listing the 2025 swap to be held on its usual date the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 29th from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the Portland Expo. Keep an eye on the website for more details.
December - Maine Ski Swaps
6th - The Pinnacle Ski Club in Pittsfield usually has their ski swap the first Saturday in December. Stay tuned to their website and Facebook page for further announcements.
Prior years had ski swaps in Farmington, Presque Isle, Camden & Fort Kent. We will post more information as it is received.
