A quick report our our night skiing trip to Shawnee Peak. A very nice evening. Temps in the upper 20's and Shawnee has done a very good job getting its slopes open. Most of the night terrain was open and offered good cover. It got icy in spots but on the sides of the trails you could usually find some loose snow to turn on. Probably Lower Kangamangus offered the best snow.
Shawnee offers pretty good deals for night skiing. On holiday Monday's, it is $16. You really can't beat that. If you do go night skiing, be prepared to deal with some fairly fast skiers and snowboarders. The night tends to bring out the teen / young adult crowd. You just need to stay on your toes. I would not recommend night skiing for new skiers or young kids, but it's not problem for @MaineSkiFamily.
Now if we can make it through this Wednesday NIAR event we can get on with winter!
