Today's guest post writer is my son Isaac. He went up with his mother and brother to Shawnee Peak to ski and watch the high school team race. Alec is still recovering from his New Year's Day injury to his shoulder so he was not able to ski or race today but he is on the mend...

My Mom and I went up to Shawnee Peak for a day of skiing on M.L.K day. My brother Alec is still on the DL but came to the race to take pictures for the team. Today at Shawnee Peak was a terrain park day where the skiing is mostly dust on crust and glades are no good. So I just was in the terrain park bonking some rails most of the day. No lift lines all day which was good.

We arrived at 10:00 so conditions were loose granular but if you stayed on the sides it was OK. If you are a powder hound and like terrain parks as I do this was a day you would just want to be in the park...
